Minimum Wage Redux

In his Times column today, Paul Krugman argues inwards favor of a higher minimum wage, suggesting that the adverse utilize effects are trivial. Unfortunately, Paul presents a highly selective review of the literature. For example, this paper is relevant. From its abstract:
"new bear witness based on methods that permit the information position the appropriate command groups leads to stronger bear witness of disemployment effects, amongst teen utilize elasticities close −0.3. We conclude that the bear witness all the same shows that minimum reward set a tradeoff of higher reward for to a greater extent than or less against chore losses for others, in addition to that policymakers withdraw to behave this tradeoff inwards heed when making decisions nearly increasing the minimum wage."
Addendum: This old ship past times Steve Landsburg on the unfairness of the minimum wage is worth rereading.
